Frequently asked questions

Is it really free? What does it cost?

Right now Meysure is completely free — every tool for measuring and export works, and exported files carry a watermark row. A Pro plan is on the way with watermark-free export, AI auto-count for doors/windows/fixtures, optional cloud backup & sync, and priority support. Pricing is still a draft.

What files are supported?

PDF files (including CAD-exported PDFs with vector points for snapping) and common image formats like JPG and PNG, including multi-page PDFs in a single file.

How accurate is it?

Accuracy depends on calibrating the scale to a real known distance. For CAD-exported PDFs, Meysure snaps to the real vector points in the file for pixel-accurate results, and you can set the scale independently on each page.

Is my data private? Does it stay in my browser?

Your drawings and measurement data stay only in your browser on your device — by default, we don't upload anything to a server. That makes it a good fit for organizations with strict data-security requirements. (Pro will add an optional cloud backup & sync you can opt into.)

If I clear my browser data, will my work be lost?

Because data lives in your browser, clearing site data can remove in-progress work. Export an annotated PDF as a backup — you can re-open it in Meysure, so it doubles as your project save file.

Can I use it on a phone or tablet?

Yes. Meysure runs in the browser, so it opens on tablets and phones — though a larger screen and a mouse make precise measuring easier.

Can I export to Excel?

Yes. Meysure exports an XLSX report with subtotals grouped by measurement type, and can also export an annotated PDF with your measurement markup embedded in the file.

Does it support DWG or CAD files directly?

Not DWG directly — export or print from your CAD app to PDF first. If the PDF came from CAD, Meysure will snap to its vector points for accurate results.
