Privacy Policy

This policy covers both the Meysure marketing site (meysure.com) and the floor-plan measurement web app (app.meysure.com). It explains what data we collect when you use either of them, and what rights you have under the law.

Your floor-plan data stays on your device

Any floor plan you upload, along with every measurement you draw on it, is stored only in your browser (via IndexedDB). We never upload these files or measurements to our servers or to any third party. This is a deliberate design choice, not a temporary limitation. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, this data is gone along with everything else stored locally.

What this website collects

Our marketing site collects usage data only through Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and only after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. Before you consent, we collect nothing from you. Once you accept, we collect:

  • Pages viewed
  • Scroll depth
  • Clicks on calls to action (CTAs)
  • Approximate location (country/region level)
  • Device and browser type

What the measurement app collects

The measurement app (app.meysure.com) also collects usage events through the same GA4 property, and only after you click "Accept" on its consent banner. It never includes your floor plans, your drawings, or any measurement coordinates. The events we record include:

  • Which tools and features you use, such as creating measurements, snapping, changing PDF pages, rotating or flipping measurements, copying and pasting, and editing labels (the action only, not the label text)
  • Workflow steps such as selecting a sample plan, importing a file, starting, completing or abandoning calibration, and exporting. These include the source type, page count, file-size range, selected unit, and export format — not file names or contents
  • Your saved library size when you return, including project and file counts and the number of projects in each file-count range — counts only, never project names, IDs, or contents
  • Starting and completing a Google Drive backup, or its failure category — never file names, project or Drive IDs, backup contents, access tokens, or raw error messages
  • App settings such as language, theme, UI scale, page-view mode, and plan-darkening preference
  • Creating an account with Google, successful interactive Google sign-in, and authentication state when actions occur (signed in, signed out, or not yet known). We also record selecting account-menu actions such as sign in, sign out, view plan, or buy Pro, plus viewing the Pro offer and choosing to continue or dismiss it; these selections are intent, not authentication success
  • Pro purchase steps: creating an order and submitting a payment slip accepted by the server, together with the selected billing period (monthly, quarterly, or yearly). These events do not confirm successful payment or a Pro entitlement
  • Opening and reading the What's New dialog, opening a problem report, copying or downloading its summary, and errors in those steps — never the report contents through Analytics
  • Image Count statistics such as source type, selected sample dimensions, ink coverage and sample-quality verdict, number of rotated or flipped variants searched, scan resolution and tile count, detection count, and processing time. We also record accepted and rejected counts and acceptance rate, the selected matching threshold, manually added counts, and cancellation — never the sample image or detection coordinates
  • Error categories or reasons, such as file-import or PDF-rendering failures, so we can fix them

We use these events to understand usage in aggregate. App event payloads sent to GA4 do not include names, email addresses, order IDs, prices, payment-slip images or details, label text, problem-report contents, floor plans, or measurement coordinates. However, GA4 uses cookie-based identifiers to link activity from the same browser, so this data is not fully anonymous. This disclosure describes Analytics data only, not data needed to provide account or payment services.

If you accept the current analytics consent in the app and sign in, we send your opaque Firebase account identifier (UID) to Google Analytics as its built-in User-ID. This identifier is not your name or email, but lets GA4 associate usage from the same account across sessions, browsers and devices. It is pseudonymous, account-linked data, not fully anonymous data. We do not send your profile photo, Google access tokens or sign-in credentials to Analytics. The marketing website does not send this account identifier, and its consent does not authorize analytics in the app.

Signing in works even if you decline analytics. Before current consent, we do not send this identifier or replay earlier actions. Signing out clears the identifier for subsequent app activity; withdrawing consent stops future analytics collection. Neither action automatically deletes data already collected. Google Signals stays disabled and advertising consent stays denied.

Cookies

When you consent, GA4 sets a few cookies in your browser (such as _ga and _ga_*) to tell visitors apart. You can refuse by clicking "Decline" on the cookie banner, or reopen “Privacy / cookie settings” in the website footer or the app's Settings menu and choose Decline to withdraw consent. Choices are stored separately for the website and app, so change them on each site you use.

When the analytics collection scope changes materially, we may ask you to choose again, including if you previously declined. Analytics stays off until you accept the current consent version. Browsers with Do Not Track enabled remain opted out even if you manually open the settings and choose Accept.

Why we collect it

We use this usage data to understand how people use our site and product, and to improve both. Our legal basis for collecting it is your consent, under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA).

Third-party services

We rely on Google services: Google Analytics (GA4) for usage data on both the marketing site and the app, and Firebase Hosting to serve both. See Google's own privacy policy for details on how they handle data.

Problem reports (optional)

If you choose to send us a problem report from the app, the app prepares a text summary containing your browser and device information, app settings, measurement counts by type, and a short trail of your recent actions plus any error details. It never includes your floor plan file, your drawing, or any measurement coordinates.

This summary is copied to your clipboard — nothing is sent automatically. You send it to us yourself through our LINE or Facebook channel, so you can review exactly what it contains before sharing it.

Your rights under Thailand's PDPA

As a data subject, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) if you believe we're not complying with the law

Data retention

GA4 usage data is retained under Google's default retention period (up to 14 months). Withdrawing consent stops future collection; it does not automatically delete data already collected. Contact us if you wish to request deletion.
